Music Passion – My Wish

We’re in the midst of the holiday season. It can be a time of joy, sadness and renewal. Each one of our lives is very different. Some of us may not celebrate at this time of year for so many reasons:

1. Family members live in other states or countries
2. Our family members have passed away
3. Estrangements with family and friends
4. Divorce or separations
5. Physical or mental inability to endure the work or socialization
6. Financial restrictions
7. Religious beliefs

It’s a season when many people are prone to commit suicide because of some or all of these things I’ve listed. The loneliness and isolation during this time of year burdens their hearts and minds. Some are unable to see past all the glitter and lights. They believe they’re the only ones who feel this way. Let’s not fall prey to the commercialism at this time of year. Let’s wish everyone more than a store bought gift:

1. Let’s wish people freedom from pain
2. Let’s wish people a prayer of comfort
3. Let’s give people the wish of a touch of good will
4. Let’s wish people a big smile of cheer
5. Let’s wish people a peaceful hand to hold
6. Let’s wish people an encouraging day
7. Let’s wish people a hug of love

I chose this word ‘Wish’ for the song for music passion this month because I want us to believe that no matter what things life gives us we can still have hope. Along with the desire to reach wherever it is we want to be there is a loving hand to help us get there. The message in the song is about letting someone know that despite everything that is happening to them in their everyday life or during this holiday season that someone is always there to help and love you …. including a heavenly spirit.
