Green Bearded Orchid
Calochilus robertsonii 2016©photograph by Isadora DeLaVega
I photographed this ‘Green Bearded Orchid’ at the Spring Englewood Orchid Club show.
The exhibitor told me they’re usually purple or red. This one was an exotic that was cross bred. It wasn’t for sale.

What a strange looking orchid! 🙂 The combination with the purple leaves is beautiful. 🙂 xx

I think the leaves are green and pruple because the orchid is usually purple or red.
This one was rare. I was happy the furry edge was captured in the photograph.
It was very unique among the others he was showing. ~~~ : – )
Hope your week is going well, Marina. 😍

I love it – I think 🙂 did you? should an orchid be bright green? I wonder if they will go on to produce enough to sell.

Yes, I loved it and the fact that it was unique. He didn’t have the purple or red kind. This was one
he had cross bred. I was in awe of the furry edge. I was very happy the photograph captured that.
I didn’t think to ask if they can be produced quickly. Perhaps, next year when I attend I can ask.
Glad you loved it, Gilly. ~~~ : – )
