Cactus Plant
Although everyone has trepidation’s about growing cactus plants because of their prickly stems,
this cactus is soft. Odd, isn’t it?
The plant was a gift. I don’t know the name of it. If anyone does, please let me know.
It grow prolifically in the hot humid climate of Florida.
Cacti are native to arid regions.

So many spikes! I guess you wear thick gloves when handling this prickly customer. 🙂 I like the coloured baubles you’ve used for decoration.

The glass bubbles hold water for the plant. We fill them when we go on vacation. The water drips out slowly. They last a week and work well.
The spikes are soft. I know it’s hard to believe but no stings. A truly odd cactus. Thanks … Issy 😎

Thye’re really handy. I was skeptical but they do work.
I can’t quite remember where I got them. It was either a store called Big Lot or Wal-Mart.
I had seen them at an art gallery. The price was too high. It was several years ago.
If I come across them again I’ll email you the location. 😀

It looks like a beast but I’m pleased it isn’t, because you’ll have to repot it sometime!

Yes, it does look scary. I’ve repotted it several times. They multiply fast. If one falls off and fall on the concrte I can place it another pot and it will begin to grow more stems. It’s truly and odd plant. The flower is bright red.

When I have company I ask them to touch the plant. They hesitate but curiosity fills them. They touch sand a big smile covers their face. 😎
