Panama Canal – Industrial Waterway
Cruising through the Panama Canal is an amazing wonder.
Cargo liners, cruise ships and other boats make their way through these ingenious gates.
The tugboat above guides the ships.
I(t takes a tremendous amount of coordination.
It’s incredible to watch.
The men in this small guard house guard against mishaps.
It was a misty, after a torrential downpour, day.
I can’t recall why they had these ‘Stop’ signs.
It must be important.
Cruising through the Panama Canal you become aware of how industrial it is.
AND … that it’s always raining. We navigated through the canal twice and both times
there was a great deal of raining.
It answered our question as to why their was a golf umbrella in our cabin.
It took 2 days to completely navigate through the Panama Canal.
These brave souls watched from the front of the ship in a drizzling rain.
We chose to stay indoors and capture the view and photograph from
the wrap around windows on the ship.

Two days, and in an industrial landscape, good heavens !

For me, it was drab and boring. It’s a masterpice of technology but I felt like I was in school. We wandered the ship for fun stuff like music, food and desserts. : )
