Beyond the Horizon

Sculpture arch.web

Sculpture Installations have been created by seven artist for Sarasota Bay in Sarasota, Florida.

This one called Sagg Portal #6 is by the Dutch Artist Hans Van de Bovenkamp.

The sculpture is 12′ high X 24′ wide X 6′ deep. It is stainless steel.

It must have been quite an achievement to place the sculpture in this park.

    • This was a beautiful sculpture in person. The sun glistened on the stainless. It was glowing like glass. The size was huge. It was part of 8 temporary sculptures brought in by the art league of Sarasota. It’s gone now. I’m glad I took photographs.
The portal is an entrance to a world of magical things. The mermaids create enchanting dances for those who enter. The have shells that lure you and weaken your will. They are beautiful and have bright sparkles of colors. If you’re good they give you candy. Once you leave, you cannot come by in. I could because I’m the leader. 🍭🍬🍭
