Color is the quality of an object or substance with respect to light reflected by the object, usually determined visually by measurement of hue, saturation, and brightness of the reflected light; saturation or chroma; hue.

Color is simply a form of visible light, of electromagnetic energy. All the primary colors reflected in the rainbow carry their own unique healing properties. The sun alone is a wonderful healer! Just imagine what life would be like without sunshine. It has been proven that lack of sunlight contributes to depression for some people.

Seeing color helps balance energy in the areas of our bodies that are lacking vibrance, be it physical, emotional, spiritual, or mental.

  1. Lovely post on colours, Isadora. Your images look vivid and fresh. Wonderful colours of nature. That is so true that colours is made up of light reflected and refracted around us. Light literally lights up the world around us, and certain colours can make us feel certain emotions. Hope you are doing well.

    • Thank you for your insightful comment, Mabel. It’s always a pleasure to read them and see you visiting here.
Yes … colors can affect us in so many ways. I find my tastes in colors can change from season to season. Many colors bring a joyful feeling. Perhaps, it’s the reason red & green are related to the holiday season. Red can be energizing and give us a happy feeling. Greens tend to give us a feeling of calm and hope for another day to come. Many of us use or wear certain colors because we feel good in them. I hope you have colors that brighten your day and make you feel peacefully happy and exhuberant all at once. Happy Holiday to you … May you always have a bright light to guide you along life’s journey. Isadora 😎
