About
Brew a cup of tea and sit while you browse through my Art and Photography blog. It’s a place I hope to have many creative pages on.
I was a Copper and Silversmith jeweler for 28 years. I was an award winning jeweler and exhibited in over 200 galleries all over the United States including Puerto Rico. Now, I am semi-retired. I maintain a web-site – http://isadoraartjewelry.etsy.com/ – for my remaining art pieces. I have another web-site – http://copperwhimseasbyal.etsy.com/ – for the company. I am President and co-designer of Copper Whimsea’s by Al. My former co-worker and assistant on my jewelry projects ventured out and began creating artwork with copper. These two web-sites along with my two blog sites on WordPress manage to keep me quite busy. As if that isn’t enough, I am always judging Art Shows for ribbons and cash prizes for artists, in addition to, designating awards and ribbons.
I love to listen to all types of music but usually enjoy listening to classical music while I sip my tea. We are enjoying that type of music right now. The song playing is Pachelbel’s Canon in D major.
Do you like it?
I enjoy board games, browsing through magazines, growing my beautiful orchids, photography, reading, writing prose and just plain nothing from time to time.
My favorite pastimes are going to museums browsing through antique and second hand shops, visiting art galleries or art shows plus cruising with my husband of many years.
I have been a dancer, interior decorator, clothing buyer for a big name department store and gal friday for a major insurance company. I am a wife, mother, artful jewelry designer and, hopefully now, decent photographer and writer.
When I started my blogs I never thought I would touch people in so many ways with my words and images. I’m so happy I’ve been able to do that. I’m even happier that I’m accomplishing the goal I had set for myself:
touching peoples’ hearts.
I hope you’ve enjoyed your visit today … come back again real soon.
Namaste…
Isadora

We have been connecting for a while via blogosphere and I am only now getting to your about page. So glad because I knew some parts of your bio – but had no idea of your jewelry design and art background — but it makes sense – even tho I now think of you whenever I see jaguars 😉

Dear Prior,
I’m smiling as I read your connecting me to Jaguars. It isn’t a bad thing to be compared to. 😀 and it’s a cat. 😻 Yes, I do love cats. Unfortunately, I don’t have one at the moment. My last one – Marshmallow – lived for 28 years. A record for cats. He was loved ❤️and wanted to stay for as long as he could. I should post a story I wrote about his abused beginnings from his birth. Anyway, art is who I am in every facet of my life. I appreciate your taking the time to read all about me … thanks 🙏

I love the sculpture of the Reclining Woman on your Header Banner. Who is it’s creator?
LikeLiked by 4 people
The sculpture is by the Spanish artist Botero. He’s known for paintings and sculptures of rubenesque characters. He desmonstrates that there is beauty in all shapes and sizes. Although, I’m not rubenesque I admire his thoughts. Glad you like it. Thank you.

Ah! I was wondering if it was one of his.
He is one of my favourite sculptors, but the finish of his work is usually smoother (not so textured) and the lines cleaner, at least, for the sculptures I’ve seen.

This sculpture was on a cruise ship I was on overlooking the pool. He was at a local museum I visited last year. His sculptures were a bit different. He may have had this one commissioned to be bronzed by another company. : )
Have a great weekend …

Okay, Isadora, I now officially adore you!
Great blog and. like so many people, I love this piece of music.
I am guessing that you may not have heard this version, but that you have the openness of mind to enjoy it.
I do hope so.
Enjoy, dear lady

LOL …. Loved it CE. I enjoy a bit of odd humor especially when it comes to classical music. They did a fine job of making the song humorous. I love the way he was able to move the instrument around instead of the bow. I’m going to check out some more of their You Tube videos. Thanks for the introduction. 😍
The ‘About’ page you read is for my photography blog. My writing blog ‘About’ page isn’t as interesting. My hope is to update it soon. In the meantime, WordPress asked us to write something about our name. I did. I hope you’ll pop over to read it. It will give you more insight about me. I’m honored that you appreciate me.

Thanks, Margie. I took the photo of a branch of purple orchids that bloomed for
me last fall. It has baby buds so I will have another branch pf flowers soon. The
color is the exact purple showing. I thought it would make a nice header. Glad you like it.
I wish I had fun putting this blog site together. I am a novice at this and had spme difficulties.
It is still under construction as I have some more things I would like to see on it. BUT – there isn’t any rush.
Yes …. I am writing along with the photos. I could never just add pix’s. I’m just too wordy. hahahaha ~~~~ : – )

Isadora, it is a pleasant surprise to find your kind words and that you have added me to your follow list. Blogging seems to be a community in a different dimension where strangers meet and freely share parts of their lives with each other in a public forum. It is nice that we have met.
