This one took my breath away. I’ve been experimenting with some new forms of quilt art. Could I get your permission to use this photo as inspiration (foundation) for a piece of fabric art?

Yes, indeed, mi amiga.
These were roses my hubby gave me for our anniversary. They were a super big roses. I couldn’t believe how large and gorgeous they were. I was haing a hard time throwing them away so I dried them and saved them in a clay bathtub artwork I had purchased years ago. I put a few drops of rose oil from time to time. Nature is creating beauty even at the time of death.
Please enjoy. Hopefully, I’ll get to see your beautiful quilt.

I love flowers at all stages. The fading beauty is just as beautiful as the original.
In fact, flowers are a perfect way to experience the stages of aging. At least, I think so.
Thanks, Gilly, for your comment and for stopping by

It’s interesting to observe the roses as they begin to fade.
There’s a beauty of a different type. It’s that way we age – isn’t it?

I love roses, too. I grow orchids for a hobby as my roses refuse to bloom. I guess
we can’t grow everything. Thanks for stopping by and leaving you very nice comment.
